What Are Some Deep Questions About Life You’re Asking Yourself?

Our minds are filled with questions. It’s the way we were programmed and it is how we think. Some are easy to answer and some are not. Some support us and some harm our lives.

In school, we learn to give the right answers. But in truth, questions asked are more important than the answers themselves. As Georg Cantor said:

“To ask the right question is harder than to answer it” – Georg Cantor

When you start to think of the questions in your head, you realise just how many questions run through your mind every day. It’s easy to see then why sometimes you are in a good state, and sometimes in a bad state. Never stop asking questions.

There are no right or wrong answers, just thoughts to the questions being asked. There are questions that make you think and there are those that are simple. Here are some that are sure to provoke your thoughts:

  3. Is it worse to fail or never try something?
  4. Where are our thoughts and consciousness kept?

  8. Are you afraid to fail?
  9. When was the last time you had a deep meaningful conversation with someone?
  10. Do you worry about something and what would happen if you stopped worrying?
  11. Would your 10 year old self be proud of who you are today?
  12. What makes you stand out from other people?
  13. Are you more inclined to do things right or do the right thing?
  14. When was the last time you really laughed uncontrollably?
  15. If you were to die today, would you have any regrets?
  16. What is the one thing you’re so grateful for you can’t live without?
  17. Do you hold grudges you need to let go?
  18. Is what you’re currently doing making the people around you happy?

  43. If you won the lottery today, would you be broke in 5 years or better off?
  44. Is happiness the purpose of life or is there something more important?
  45. Is mankind moving in the right direction or are we destroying ourselves?
  46. Does life feel like a routine you live everyday?
  47. What’s the best advice you gave someone that even surprised yourself?
  48. Would you reduce your life by 10 years to live the life of your dreams?
  49. Are you happy at least once a day?
  50. Are you sad at least once a day?

  79. Have you ever thought about how small and insignificant you are in the world and universe yet you can mean so much to a few people?
  80. What is something you think everyone should experience at least once?
  81. Do your loved ones talk to you about real problems they have?
  82. Would ending world poverty be a good thing or will it make the world entitled?
  83. Do you believe there are other living beings out there besides our planet?
  84. If you could do something bad but beneficial to you, and you knew for sure that no one would find out and it wouldn’t cause any significant harm, would you do it?
  85. Excluding a higher power, are humans the most advanced life forms in the universe?
  86. Why do you fear death?
  87. Is your life ‘ordinary’?
  88. When was the last time you remember crying? Do you let your emotions go or do you keep them in?
  89. What would you like to say is your greatest achievement when you’re old and grey?
  90. If there was a pill that would replace sleep for good without side effects, would you take it and never sleep again?
  91. Do you think that being selfish sometimes is crucial to happiness?
  92. If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be?
  93. Why do some good people live bad lives and some bad people live good lives?
  94. What do you think of the singularity and do you think it’s something that will happen?
  95. If a clone was made of you, would you like him/her? What are the traits you’d be annoyed with?
  96. What percentage of your life does your work take? And what percentage is spent with people you love? You can calculate from a normal week.
  97. Could a world without money possibly be a good thing for humanity?
  98. Would you like if everyone told you the truth about what they think of you without any filters?
  99. What is an action you can take today that would make your life better in a year? What’s stopping you from doing it?
  100. Do single moments change things or are things changed by consecutive things?
  101. In the case of overpopulation, will mother nature correct it?
